Common Questions Click a question to see the answer What's the difference between a remanufactured engine and a rebuilt engine? Here's how we differentiate rebuilt from remanufactured: Rebuilt: To recondition by cleaning, inspecting and replacing severely worn or broken parts. Serviceable parts are reused within the manufacturer's acceptable wear limits. In simple terms not all wearable parts are replaced with new parts. Remanufacture: To make as close to new as possible. Wearable parts are automatically replaced. All core material is closely inspected and checked against original equipment specifications for correct dimensional tolerances. Replacement parts are new and made in the same production process as original equipment. Testing is performed to manufacturer specifications and original production standards. Unless otherwise specified all of our engines are remanufactured not rebuilt. If you are thinking about purchasing an engine, we recommend you watch this video. What is a long block or a long motor? A long block or a long motor is just the base of the engine without the accessories, like starter motors, alternators, exhaust manifold(s), intake manifold, etc. Unless specified in the product description, our long blocks do not include "tin". "Tin" means value cover(s), timing case, oil pan or sump. You simply use these non wearable parts from your current engine. Your installer should take no more than 1 hour to swap these items over to your new exchange engine. We supply all the upper and lower gaskets required to change over your non wearable items listed above. If you do not have these items in most cases we can supply them at an additional cost. What is an exchange core deposit? An exchange core deposit is a fully refundable charge which is refunded to you when your old engine or engine part returned to us. Your return exchange part must be free of cracks and or holes, or must be in a condition where remanufacturing is possible. You can still purchase a product without an exchange core. However you will have to pay the exchange core deposit as we will have to purchase a replacement core to remanufacture. Do you ship to other states or countries? Yes. We ship to all states within Australia. We even ship to overseas destinations. How much does it cost to ship an engine? Shipping will depend on the size and weight of your product you wish to purchase. The average cost to ship an engine within Australia to a major city is approximately between $130.00-$150.00. This rate can change without notice. Western Australia and remote locations varies. Overseas destinations are on a case by case basis. Which shipping company do you use? We use TNT for deliveries within Australia. Usually for overseas shipping we use the most competitive priced freight forwarder. Can you fit or install my engine as well?
